Hook Size(s): according to your yarn
In my sample I used Scheepjes Chunky Monkey Yarn with a 6mm Hook.
Colours used in my blanket (in order) Ochre, Mustard, Primrose, Lemon, Mint, Pistachio, Fern, Aqua, Eucalyptus, Mist, Smoke, Cornflower Blue, Teal, Passionfruit, Orchid, Mauve, Amethyst, Bubblegum, Rose, Blush, Baby Pink, Peach, Jasmine & Cream.
Abbreviations:
โ Ch = Chain
โ Ch sp = Chain space
โ DC = Double crochet
โ SPdc = Spiked double crochet
โ Rep = Repeat
โ YO = Yarn over
โ St = Stitch
Spiked double crochet: Work a DC stitch into the corresponding stitch in the row below your current row, keeping your tension loose.
Crochet Mini Interlocking Block Stitch
Foundation Row: Ch multiples of 2 plus 1 until you reach the desired width of your project.
Row 1: Starting in the third ch from the hook, rep *1 DC, ch 1, skip 1 ch* across. At the end of the row, make 1 DC in the last ch.
Row 2: Ch 2 and turn. Rep *skip DC st of previous row, make 1 Spdc over ch sp, ch 1* across. At the end of the row, make 1 DC in the last st.
Row 3: Ch 2 and turn. Rep *skip Spdc of previous row, make 1 Spdc over ch sp, ch 1* across. At the end of the row, make 1 DC in the last st.
Rows 4-onward: Rep Row 3 until you reach the desired length of your project.
Last Row: Ch 1 and turn. Make 1 SC in the same st and rep *1 Spdc over ch sp, 1 SC on Spdc of previous row* across. At the end of the row, make 1 SC in the last st.
Fasten off and cut the yarn.
Weave in the ends.
