Crochet Worry Blob / Stress Ball

Crochet Worry Blob / Stress Ball

How to crochet an amigurumi Worry Blob! An easy crochet Stress Pet / Ball pattern.

This super simple free crochet pattern is easy to crochet in any yarn.

If you are a beginner to crochet, I’d advise a soft chenille type yarn for maximum squish factor!

For the more advanced out there, then soft furry yarns are the best!

PLEASE NOTE - these furry type yarns are exceptionally hard to use for amigurumi as it is near impossible to see your stitches. You need to be confident that you can “feel” the stitches. Faux fur yarns or fuzzy eyelash types are NOT beginner friendly.

Yarns I recommend for your Worry Blobs:

12mm Safety Eyes & James C Brett Flutterby with a 6mm Hook

16mm Safety Eyes & Scheepjes Furry Tales Yarn with a 6 or 7mm Hook (the colourway I used for my Worry Blob is “Unicorn”)

Cut your yarn leaving a long tail. Weave yarn around the front loops of the last 6 stitches and pull tight to cinch the hole closed. Weave remaining tail in through several places on your Worry Blob and hide within the body.

If your Worry Blob is looking a bit squashed, roll him between your hands to form the stuffing inside into a nice round ball shape.

Happy Squishing!

If you spot any errors in the written pattern please do let me know.

As always you are free to sell any finished Worry Blobs you may make from this pattern 😊
