How to Attach a Fringe / Tassels to a Crochet Scarf WRITTEN PATTERN
*TOP TIP* You can incorporate the tail ends from your scarf into the fringing to save weaving them in!
Step One:
Measure out a strand of yarn depending on how long you want the fringe to be.
Double it and cut (e.g., if you want a 2β fringe, cut a strand thatβs 4β).
Step Two:
Using your first strand as a standard guide, cut more strands of yarn.
The more strands you use, the thicker your fringe will be.
Step Three:
Fold the strands in half and feed this loop into the place you want the fringe to be.
Bring the ends of the strands through the loop to fasten a knot.
Repeat these steps along the edges of your scarf, spacing your fringe pieces out evenly as you go.
I personally like to use 3 strands held together for my fringing but it is totally up to you how many you gather together!
Once you have finished attaching the fringing, smooth out the strands and cut to your desired length.
