USA STITCH TERMS
Hook Size(s): according to your yarn
I made my sample with Stylecraft Special DK on a 4mm Hook in the following colours: Wisteria, Clematis, Candy Floss, Apricot, Lemon, Spring Green, Sherbet, White.
Abbreviations:
โข Ch = Chain
โข SC = Single Crochet
โข DC = Double Crochet
โข Rep = Repeat
โข St = Stitch
SPECIAL STITCH:
V-St = V Stitch (dc, ch1, dc all into the same place)
Stacked DC = SC, SC in front bar of SC just made.
Granny Stitch = 3 DC in the same st/sp
Foundation: Chain multiples of 3 plus 1 to create the width of your project.
Row 1: DC in the 4th Ch from hook.
Repeat * Sk 2, 3DC in next.* until last 3 sts.
Sk 2, 2DC in last st.
If you are using more than one colour, change to new colour here.
Row 2: Turn work. Place Stacked DC in first st. DC in same st.
Repeat * Sk 2, V-stitch into next * until last 3 sts.
Sk 2, 2DC into last st.
If you are using more than one colour, change to new colour here.
Row 3: Turn work. Place Stacked DC in first st. DC in same st.
Repeat * Sk 2, 3DC in Ch 1 sp from V-stitch from row below * until last 3 sts.
Sk 2, 2DC in last st.
If you are using more than one colour, change to new colour here.
Keep repeating rows 2 and 3 until you reach the length of your project.
I recommend ending on a row 3 repeat to keep a nice edge.
Cut yarn, leaving long tail.
Weave in all ends.
