Crochet Log Cabin Granny Triangle Shawl l WRITTEN PATTERN

USA STITCH TERMS

You can use any yarn and hook you would like.

Hook Size(s): according to your yarn

I used Ice Yarn in Picasso Rainbow, Softly Baby in White and Black, and I used a 4.5 mm crochet hook.

Abbreviations:

• Ch = Chain

• DC = Double Crochet

• St = Stitch

• sp = space


Foundation: Ch 5, join with a sl st to the very first Ch to form a ring.

Ch 4 (counts as a DC and Ch 1)

place 3 DC into ring.

Ch 3, turn.


Row 2: 3 DC in the Ch 4 space from the previous round. Ch 1. DC in the same Ch 4 sp.

Ch 4, turn.

Row 3: 3 DC in the Ch 1 space from the previous round.

3 DC in the next Ch sp.

Ch 3, turn.

Row 4: 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters.

3 DC, Ch 1, DC in last ch sp. (Change Colour in this last st)

Ch 4, turn.

Row 5: 3 DC in Ch 1 sp from previous round.

3 DC in the sp between DC clusters.

3 DC in the last Ch sp.

Ch 3, turn.

Row 6: * 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last Ch sp.

3 DC, Ch 1, DC in last ch sp.

Ch 4, turn.

Row 7: 3 DC in first Ch sp.

* 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last Ch sp.

3 DC in last Ch sp.

Ch 3, turn.

Row 8: * 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last Ch sp.

3 DC, Ch 1, DC in last ch sp.

Ch 1, cut yarn.

Tie off.

Join new yarn in the Ch sp at the end of Round 8. We will now be working along the side of the rows we just created.

Row 9: Ch 3, 2 DC in Ch sp.

* 3 DC in the next sp. * Repeat until end. (Will be at the beginning Ch 5 ring)

3 DC in ring, Ch 1, DC in same sp.

Ch 4, turn.

Row 10: 3 DC in first sp.

* 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last st.

Place DC in the top of the beginning Ch 3 of the previous round.

Ch 3, turn.

Row 11: 2 dc in first sp.

* 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last sp.

3 DC, Ch 1, DC in last ch sp.

Ch 4, turn.

Row 12: 3 DC in first sp.

* 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last st.

Place DC in the top of the beginning Ch 3 of the previous row. (Change Colour during last st)

Ch 3, rotate work.

Row 13: 2 DC in last Ch sp from Row 12. Working downward along the side.

* 3 DC in the next sp. * Repeat until end ch sp.

3 DC, Ch 1, DC in last ch sp.

Ch 4, turn.

Row 14: 3 DC in first sp.

* 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last st.

Place DC in the top of the beginning Ch 3 of the previous row.

Ch 3, turn.

Row 15: 2 DC in first ch sp.

* 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last sp.

3 DC, Ch 1, DC in last ch sp.

Ch 4, turn.

Row 16: 3 DC in first sp.

* 3 DC in the sp between DC clusters. * Repeat until you reach last st.

Place DC in the top of the beginning Ch 3 of the previous row. (Change Colour during last st)

Ch 3, rotate work.

Keep repeating Rows 13- 16 until your shawl reaches the size you desire.

Tie off, and weave in any loose ends.
