Crochet Griddle Stitch WRITTEN PATTERN
USA STITCH TERMS
Hook Size(s): according to your yarn
For my sample in the photos / video, I used Hobbii Cascata Yarn in the colour “01” with a 6mm Hook
Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
SC = Single crochet
DC = Double Crochet
Rep = Repeat
St = Stitch
Pattern multiple: 2 plus 1
Row 1: Create your desired chain length
SC into the 2nd Ch from your hook. I prefer to use the back bumps of the chain for this pattern but it is entirely optional.
SC into each ch across.
Row 2: Ch1. Turn work. (ch1 does not count as a st)
SC in the first st.
DC in the next st.
* alternate between SC and DC along the row *
Rep * * until the end - you will end on a DC in the last stitch,
Keep repeating Row 2 until you reach the length you desire - changing colours every 2 rows
FINAL ROW: To straighten the top edge - Ch1. Turn work. (ch1 does not count as a st)
SC into each stitch across to row
Tie off, and weave in any loose ends.
